Chinese-born Haizhen Wang graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2005. His collections are sophisticated, edgy and immaculately finished. Haizhen Wang builds the signature aesthetics based on its precise tailoring, couture finishing and intricate craftsmanship. In the Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection, the starting point was a beautiful image of a girl down on her knees, which was taken from behind showing dots of shadow on her spine. The designer took the spine as the core of his designs. Snowflake wool and sheepskin were the key materials used on the runway. Haizhen Wang applied herringbone and houndstooth prints, fur accents, macrame neckpieces and his signature leather gloves to complete the lineup. The references of light and shadow techniques were juxtaposed with masculine and feminine components to create original, innovative and sartorial looks.
