For Resort 2015, Mary Katrantzou fused the letters of the alphabet and graphic devices into the designs. The symbols were embossed into color block fabrics, wovened into brocades and jacquards in grid like motifs, flocked in glitter into chiffon and worked into guipure and tulle laces. Mary Katrantzou also channeled the letters in the sleeves and bodices. The Book of Kells with illuminated Gospel manuscripts was the source of inspiration for this lineup. There were dresses and slim pants suits in foliate patterns and prints, dresses with graphic appliqués “Love Letter,” belted shorts, and etc. The colors were vibrant with uncommon combinations like tangerine and violet, and pink and yellow. Mary Katrantzou introduced minaudière bags that were shaped into an individual letter: M-A-R-Y. The MVK bag from last season was shown in fresh shades and the new envelope MVK was also unveiled. The shoes were crafted by Gianvito Rossi. Mary Katrantzou again reinvented herself as the master of prints by presenting another collection of high-tech, amazing and luxurious creations.
