Daria Zhiliaeva was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. After studying fashion design in the Academy of Art and Design in Russia for three years and in the Institute Atelier Chardon Savard (Paris, France) for one year, she went to Florence, Italy to continue her studies at Polimoda. Daria Zhiliaeva graduated in Fashion Design from POLIMODA in June 2013. Recently, the designer won the contest of Gallery Fashion Challenge in St. Petersburg. Her graduation collection “The Hostess of the Copper Mountain” embraced femininity and masculinity, strength and fragility. The heroine in the fashion story was a magic patron of miners from an old Russian fairy tale. Daria Zhiliaeva fused elements from the miner’s uniform, volumes from Russian national costume, and etc. The collection channeled ladylike, original, and fresh garments.
