After successful exhibition of Iris van Herpen in 2013, La Cité internationale de la Dentelle et de la Mode de Calais Cité (the International Center for Lace and Fashion in Calais) in Paris invited the couture house of On Aura Tout Vu that has been run by designer duo Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov. The exhibition invites the public to discover a creative universe, based on the exploration and experimentation of multiple crafts and innovative techniques. This project has been conducted in a close collaboration with Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov to renew the approach to fashion design. The exhibit embraces a poetic evocation of different emotions and sensations. It will be divided into 7 types of sensations that showcased the creations from various collections produced from 2003 to 2014. On Aura Tout Vu cultivates the art of subverting the codes of good taste. The love for Calais lace was always manifested by the fashion house in the structure of garments. Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov exploited the most complex techniques in the art of couture. Their expertise and virtuoso underpinned the artistic risks they take. The fashion expert, historian and curator Lydia Kamitsis will introduce the work of On Aura Tout Vu in the exhibit’s book with the emphasis on the sensations and also gives a great insight on the endless imagination of Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov. The exhibition will be open from June 11, 2014 until December 31, 2014.
